I've heard a lot, since I was real young actually, about how 2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar and the supposed end of the world.
Always sounded a bit fishy to me. I mean, it had to end somewhere right?
Anyways, this came up in a conversation the other day with a friend of mine. He's really into the government cover-up stuff. I hate to call it conspiracy, because I think there's a lot of truth to it. I mean with that much power, why wouldn't they cover things up?
So my friend tells me that the whole Mayan calendar thing is made up. A lie from the bigwigs who rule the world. He says the real end is a lot sooner. September 2009, if I remember correctly. Apparently there is an asteroid that's been nicknamed planet x, headed straight for our little blue globe, we call home.
He said they made up 2012 to throw us off, so we wouldn't be freaking out, and that they already have plans to take off before then, and have shelters and stuff in preparation. Leaving everyone else to be killed, and solving the population problem I suppose.
Sounds kind of crazy... but not too long ago I watched an episode on Nova that said, an asteroid was heading for earth. I don't remember when they determined it might hit, but surely it wasn't that soon. They said something might knock it off its course and we would probably be safe.
But what if they were told they couldn't say anything about it hitting in 2009? I'm not worried.... just watching and waiting.
I don't know. I say this to say, what people have been saying since the beginning of time... We could all die at any moment... the sky is falling my friends.
Are you ready?

President Bush... Doesn't believe the bible is literal.
President George W. Bush said in an interview with "Nightline" Monday that the Bible is "probably not" literally true and that a belief that God created the world is compatible with the theory of evolution. "I think you can have both."
Man, i bet a lot of people were upset to hear this.
Maybe that's why he chose the last month of his 8 year run to tell everyone.
I'm willing to be he wouldn't have been president these past four years if he had said that 4 years ago.
*I should note, I'm not a "Bush basher" at least not half as much, as most people. I think he's just a person as flawed as everyone else, but this is something I think the people who voted for him should have been aware of, years ago.

Bailout (Part duex)
So it's looking like the Auto-companies are going to get a bailout after all.
Whatever happened to having to make good products and compete to survive.
I could understand the government bailing out small buisness because they can't fight big business.
But this is the opposite of what is happening.
Big business is killing small business, and when small business dies, no one cares. but when big business starts showing signs of terminal illness, we pull out the life support and start shoving tax money that could be better spent on other things down it's feeding tube.

Bailout
Why is it we are throwing money at all these banks while our economy is dying?
Haven't we been in debt enough already?
Who's going to bail us out?
We borrow money from China to save a bank, who then turns around and blows hundreds of thousands of dollars on unnecessary spending, and then asks for another bail out, which for some reason our government decides to go along with.
Welcome to the infinite circle of debt and depression.
Our country is collapsing.
Money is slowly killing us all.

Who to beleive?
I turned on my radio to hear something that I've grown tired of hearing. Hank Hanegraaff, the self-proclaimed "Bible Answer Man" was talking about how another famous Christian speaker, Joyce Meyer, is preaching un-biblically. Quarreling inside a group of supposedly like minded people is nothing new, it happens inside and outside religious circles. Teachers, preachers and leaders all disagreeing and proclaiming opposite "truths".
The question is who can you believe in this world?
If you want to know who to vote for, don't take someones word and make a decision, research the candidates, do some digging.
If you want to know what you should buy, don't ask the sales person, look up all the items and research.
If you want to know what to believe about history, don't listen to your teacher, or professor, research it, look it up.
If you want to follow Christ read a bible, don't take a "Christian's" word for it. Seek G-d and He will reveal Himself to you.
Look at all sides, look at all the supposed "truths"
Seek answers, not people who say they have them.

Politics (Part Duex)
So a radio station went to the streets recently, taking the presidents views and stances and questioning the people on who they were voting for.
Here's the catch. They switched their views. So to someone who wanted Obama as president, they would read off McCain's views and say they were Obama's. For example "do you agree with Obama's position against gay marriage, or against abortion?" And vice-versa for McCain.
They even went as far to tell people that Sarah Palin was Obama's running mate. They asked what people thought about her and what they thought about having the first woman vice-president.
A lot of people apparently were easily misguided, and did not know enough to separate the two candidates views and running mates, because many of Obama's supporters replied by talking about how they agreed with banning gay marriage, and abortion and about how it would be exciting to have a the first black man and the first woman in office. And some went as far as saying they thought Palin was a great choice for VP on Obama's behalf.
Seriously?
Do people even try to know who they are voting for?
Or do they just do it because of person bias?
A lot of people are going to vote for Obama because he's black, just like a lot of older rich people will vote for McCain because he's older and rich. Just like republicans will blindly vote republican and democrats blindly vote democratic.
on both sides you have so many people who don't look at the issues.
Who knows, maybe it's better that way. Ignorance is bliss and all.
Cause I've looked at the issues and like I said before I see no real hope in politics.

Politics Shmolitics
I feel like there's no hope for us anymore.
At least politically speaking. We have two candidates for president and as far as I'm concerned neither of them are going to do us any good.
You have McCain. He's the one most of us hate. We see our former president in him and we fear that. He's old, He's republican and He's a war vet. Sounds like a recipe for bias hatred and war mongering.
So far my biggest problem with him is a statement he made concerning gay marriage during a debate, "we'll change the constitution if we have to." That's scary stuff, what else is he willing to change the constitution on?
Then you have Obama, the new face. The could be first non-white US president.
My biggest problem with him, is that he seems fake, like hes putting on a show for the American people. The young charismatic candidate running on the wings of a message for 'Change', sound familiar? It should, the same thing happened a while back in Cuba. A young charismatic candidate showed up promising change... The people trusted him, rallied around him and loved this new young face of hope...
Who did this leader turn out to be? Fidel Castro.
Not to mention his statements in his book about siding with Muslims over Israel... "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." that's disconcerting.
Why does it always come down to having to choose between two people who don't deserve it?
Is there any hope left for our country?
