Primer

This movie is awesome. It's a bit hard to follow, and you won't understand it the first time, but if you like movies involving time travel, I suggest you see it, like... yesterday.

Imagination be Damned!
Not really, but that's what I thought to myself when I was going over some thoughts in my head today.
I was thinking about how I enjoy illustrations in books. Usually there is one at the beginning of each chapter (that is if there are any) but not more than that. I wish there were more. I know, I know, "but that doesn't let you exercise your imagination, that's what's wrong with this t.v. generation" It's when thinking of someone saying that, that I interjected (in my head, to myself, yeah I know, I'm crazy) "Imagination be damned!" of course I didn't mean it though.
What I mean is, being a big fan of graphic novels and comic books I quite enjoy getting a mental picture of the characters, and the surroundings of their world. A sort of staring point. Then my imagination runs wild thinking of other adventures for them to go on, aside from the one I'm reading. That's when I work out my imagination. I can read a book about someone and then think up a million other adventures or scenarios for them.
I like having that starting point. Maybe that's why I struggle with writing, I need a starting point. Hmmm... but my main problem with writing is developing story from an idea... oh well, that's a rant for another day.
-End-
This blog was inspired while reading Story Vessel's first release, "Truman Burrows, Kid Spy: The Bully Ring" A review of this book is forth coming, but for now I highly suggest you check out Story Vessel and consider getting a copy of Truman's first published adventure (The book is handmade by the authors!)

Back home
My trip to St. Louis (well actually Eureka) was great. I had so much fun and was greatly encouraged. Funky's family are the most generous, hospitable bunch you might ever know.
I will be uploading the photos to my photo blog soon, so keep an eye out for that.
Now that I'm back home I'm ready to get busy. I need to save money for better camera equipment. So I need more photo jobs. I'm working with Cory (Better Way Screen Printing) to offer some sweet band package deals (shirts, buttons, patches and promo shots, for one low price)
So if you need some photography, or screen printing done, hit me up.

Happenings
Man. It's been a week since I had posted on this blog. I WAS on a roll.
Oh well, this coming week is gonna be insane. The St. Louie trip.
I'm a bit nervous still, but now that I have made all my decisions I am a lot more comfortable.
I'm a little discouraged by the lack of comments on my first illustrated writing. I was so excited, I posted it here, on facebook and twittered about it. I think i even sent out a mass email and I've hardly received any feedback. Maybe it wasn't as funny as I thought it was.
Oh well. I'll keep trying, though I never seem to have time to write.
I know this is probably something to post on my photo blog but I think I decided I want to start taking more art photos and entering them into art shows. I'm thinking of entering my roach picture (the background of this blog) in the next momentum show.
Since this blog post has been real boring, I will leave you with this, for your entertainment:
